Hannah qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2001 with a Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) Degree from The University of Nottingham (Queens Medical Centre).

After qualifying, Hannah spent 9 years on the Paediatric wards at Northampton General Hospital, and since 2010, has been nursing in the Community with Northamptonshire Healthcare (NHS) Foundation Trust (NHFT). Hannah was NHFT Immunisation Lead for the 0-19 Team and an Immunisation Specialist Nurse advising on best immunisation practice and delivering all the Immunisation Training for the 0-19 team Health Visitors and School Nurses from 2012-2020. Hannah left this position in March 2020, and now supports NHFT with vaccinations as a member of NHFT bank staff when not delivering training.

Hannah delivers immunisation training as Immunisations UK Ltd to Practice Nurses from all over the UK, in addition to in-house training for Northamptonshire and out of county Health Visitor & School Nursing teams, Local Medical Committees, NHS Hospitals and private Occupational Health Companies.

Hannah is an Independent Nurse Prescriber (V300) and completed a Professional Diploma in Travel Health with Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) in 2021. Hannah also runs a Vaccination clinic in Northampton New tab (44derngate.co.uk), offering Travel Health consultations and private vaccines.


Catherine Bailey

Catherine qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1995 with a Diploma in Nursing from Brunel University and completed Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) Degree with De Montford University in 1997. Catherine has worked on the Paediatric wards at Stoke Mandeville, Bedford, Luton and Dunstable and Kettering General Hospital. She moved to a community based role with the Health Visiting Teams at Northamptonshire Health Care Foundation Trust in 2010.

Catherine has worked in her current role as the Immunisation Quality Lead Practitioner, previously for 0-19 team and more recently the School Aged Immunisation Service since 2012 delivering training and advising on best Immunisation practice. Outside of her NHFT work, Catherine delivers immunisation training on behalf of Immunisations UK, in addition to in-house training for out of county to School Nursing and Immunisation teams, Local Medical Committees, NHS Hospitals and private Occupational Health Companies.

Catherine is also a qualified instructor in the following courses: Basic Life Support; Anaphylaxis; Defibrillation; Oxygen Therapy Administration; and First Aid at Work.


Cathy O’Malley

Cathy is a Travel Health Nurse Specialist and freelance Travel Health trainer. She has 14 years clinical experience in a private GP surgery and nurse led travel clinic in Harrow London. 

She completed the Travel medicine diploma in 2013 and in 2018 was awarded Fellowship of the Faculty of Travel Medicine (FTM) at the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons Glasgow (RCPSG). 

She has taught on the RCPSG diploma course, Foundation course and been an examiner and question setter for the membership exam. Cathy was a member of the FTM’s Education Board for 4 years and a co-author of the RCPSG FGM e-learning. 

In 2020 Cathy adapted her courses for live interactive online delivery and currently works full time delivering online travel health training. Cathy is an experienced trainer and is passionate about travel medicine and passing her knowledge on to others. 


Katy Powis

Katy qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2001 with a Nursing Degree from Otago Polytechnic, New Zealand and moved home to the UK and gained NMC registration in 2002. Katy has worked on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Northampton General Hospital for most of her career, where she was the unit Clinical Educator for 7 years, but has also spent some time on both adult and paediatric wards.

In 2015, she completed her Resuscitation Council UK Generic Instructors Course to become a qualified Newborn Life support Instructor and remains an active member of faculties at Northampton General Hospital and University Hospital of Coventry and Warwick.

She moved to a lecturing role at University of Bedfordshire to run the post-graduate Neonatal course in 2017 where she now also is a unit lead on the undergraduate midwifery programme. Katy has also worked as an immunisation nurse as Bank staff and is has been a Basic Life Support instructor for Immunisations UK since 2017. 

Katy is a qualified instructor in the following courses:Basic Life Support; Defibrillation; First Aid at Work; and Newborn Life Support.
