Terms of Business for the provision of Immunisation Training

  • Immunisation Training courses are offered across the United Kingdom at appropriate training venues.
  • Training courses are available as Face-to-Face training or as virtual, interactive training delivered via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
  • Places will be limited to a maximum of 25 per session.
  • Training courses are delivered by an Immunisation Specialist Nurse and in line with Public Health England’s (PHE, 2018) National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Registered Healthcare Practitioners and PHE (2015) National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Healthcare Support Workers (HCSW).
  • Immunisation training delivered by Immunisations UK provides the knowledge base for Immunisation practice, clinical competence when delivering immunisations will need to be assessed within place of practice by a suitable mentor/manager. A competency framework/assessment tool (PHE, 2018) will be provided. Immunisations UK will not accept any responsibility for immunisation related clinical errors.

  • All Training to be paid for in full at time of booking, unless otherwise agreed. Payment secures training place and confirms acceptance of these terms of business.
  • All course bookings are subject to availability. In the event of immunisation training course over-subscription, only courses that have been paid for will be secure.
  • Booking implies a commitment to pay the published fess and intention to attend. In the event of a delegate being unable or no longer wishing to attend, the cancellation notice must be adhered to.
  • Cancellation notice: should you be unable to attend, please be advised that we operate a minimum 28 days cancellation notice, with no charge. Should you fall outside this period, a cancellation charge of £75 will be made; alternatively, a suitable replacement delegate may be sent on discussion with the training provider.
  • Training sessions run from 9.30am-4.30pm (full day) 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm (half day), if the delegate does not comply with these times, a certificate of course completion will not be issued and thus the update training or foundation training will not be deemed compliant with government recommendations.
  • Should a training course be cancelled, alternative dates will be made available.
  • Training can only be offered in accordance with these terms.

Terms of Business for the provision of “In house” Immunisation Training

  • Immunisation Training courses are offered privately through the training provider Immunisations UK.
  • Training courses are available as Face-to-Face training or as virtual, interactive training delivered via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
  • Cost of Training is £1200/day + VAT.
  • Discounted price of £1000/day + VAT if >20 sessions booked in a year.
  • Maximum number of 25 delegates (16 delegates if BLS or 24 with 2 trainers) to be trained in any one session. There is scope for negotiation on an individual case basis, dependent on the specific course to be delivered and training venue facilities available.
  • Training courses are delivered by an Immunisation Specialist Nurse/BLS Trainer and in line with Public Health England’s (PHE, 2018) National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Registered Healthcare Practitioners and PHE (2015) National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Healthcare Support Workers (HCSW) and in accordance with the Resuscitation Council UK 2015 guidelines.

  • All Training to be paid for in full at time of booking, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Travel expenses are charged at 45p/mile.
  • Other Expenses including overnight accommodation cost will be charged if training is delivered in a venue over 40 miles from base.
  • Cancellation notice:
    • >3 months’ notice – 25% of full balance will be charged
    • 1 months’ notice – 50% of full balance will be charged
    • < 1 months’ notice – full balance will be charged
  • Training sessions run from 9.30am-4.30pm, if the delegate does not comply with these times, a certificate of course completion will not be issued and thus the update training or foundation training will not be deemed compliant with government recommendations.
  • Should a training course be cancelled, alternative dates will be made available.
  • Training can only be offered in accordance with these terms.
